Santeros Against Fraud and Exploitation (SAFE) is an action committee of the Santeria Church of the Orishas, dedicated to the exposure of deceptive practices and prevention of exploitation within the religion of Santeria. As an extension of our mission to educate, SAFE seeks to expose fraudulent practices to members of the public who may be uninformed about what is considered traditional, legitimate practice by the culture bearers of Santeria (Lucumi, Lukumi).

In addition to educating the public about fraudulent practices we also firmly believe that a healthy religion is one that functions with transparency and adheres to a code of ethics.

was dealing with fakes last night on facebook.. Got kicked out of a pagan group for confronting them... This is a serious problem in occult communities...

A LOT...

They started with the usual, "I'm so frickin great, I martyr myself for my family with ritual, I'm in a wheel chair feel sorry for me, but I can play bowling. I got shot in the head in 2000 and again in 2007" (This was all lies by the way)

Followed by attacking me, when I disagreed with one of their theories. The admins of the site had a go at me for disagreeing, because I'm only 16, and this person is in her 40's (Although looks like she's in her 80's)... Of course she's also descended from an ANCIENT wiccan line, you know, from before 1960 She liked to lie about that... Then of course, her Son decided to call me an idiot because I speak as if I know what I'm doing...oh wait! I do know!!! (Even if I could be a little bit...well a lot more, modest about what I know XD I know I'm arrogant/cocky.

This led to a fight in the group, and I left because they were tolerated still.

Ah. I personally do not know of anyone in my area who has any occult knowledge or training. I can't talk to anyone I know about hidden knowledge or share anything about my journey they would have me burning on a stake. lol.

I've not heard much of false Santeria, but the people who call themselves wiccans and don't know an inklet about what they're claiming to be really piss me off.
