Hi there,
We are a television production company based in the UK and I am currently researching stories for the third series of the SyFy channel’s PARANORMAL WITNESS. I thought it might be a good idea to post on this forum and see if anybody could recommend any good stories for our new show? As it’s the third series we are really digging deep trying to find the most hard-core cases, and it’s not just hauntings this time either; curses, witchcraft, cryptozoology, possession, unexplained mysteries and UFOs are all on the table. Anything that’s a bit different really. With regards to the occult though I was wondering whether anybody had any good stories relating to individuals who may have messed around with the Goetia (or other such books) and unwittingly unleashed malevolent forces? I'm sure some of you may be familiar with our programme but if you aren’t, the stories are told from the perspective of multiple eyewitnesses without outside judgment or commentary. The dramatic reconstruction is done with the same high production standards as a film and we pride ourselves in sticking to the facts and allowing the story to tell itself. We are of course making highly dramatic television and so to help us create a strong story all our episodes contain the following elements: Characters – all good stories are about people and what they have experienced. We like to look out for stories about ‘families’; this family can be a real one (mum, dad, kids etc.) or a group of people such as a police HQ, a factory, group of co-workers. Basically a location where the people all share a common experience. The location – we look for stories that are based somewhere, be it a house, some woods, a building, maybe even a town or village. For this series we are particularly interested in more unusual locations such as lighthouses, ships, hospitals, prisons etc. A build up – we love stories that develop and escalate, they start with some flickering lights or someone seeing something out of the corner of their eye then build up to more extreme phenomena such as pictures flying off walls, apparitions, poltergeist activity, possession, abduction etc. Multiple witnesses – it’s great when numerous people experience these things (even at different times) as they can all corroborate the story. We really like stories that involve highly credible witnesses such as the police, doctors, priests etc. The scares – Essentially ‘Paranormal Witness’ is a scary show, we want our contributors to have been genuinely scared of what they experienced, the scarier the better! Multiple scares – the more paranormal experiences our contributors have the better. Please don’t hesitate to get in contact if you think you could help. I can be reached at patrick.hewlett@raw.co.uk or my UK telephone number is 0044 207 456 0847, as this is an international number I can return your call straight away to save your phone bill. Alternatively you can email your number to me and suggest a convenient time to call. For more information you can check out our website here: http://www.syfy.com/paranormalwitness/ I look forward to hearing from you. |

It should never be forgotten for a single moment that the central and essential work of the Magician is the attainment of the Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel. Once he has achieved this he must of course be left entirely in the hands of that Angel, who can be invariably and inevitably relied upon to lead him to the further great step—crossing of the Abyss and the attainment of the grade of Master of the Temple.
