But really, you shouldn't need to use magick if you don't know what you're doing. You just need to figure out the best aspects of your true self and let them shine. If you have a strongly defined character and confidence, it's a lot easier to get what you want.
If I were to give you magical advice, I'd be typing for an hour just trying to explain how to get magick to work.

Because clubs and pubs are going to be full of the women of his choice, and he's sure to get any one he wants if he just 'works on himself'. What an asinine response from you. Read his question again, because you seem to have missed it on your first try. It's not about picking up any old slag, but attracting a specific woman, or, more generally, any woman he chooses. Now, I'm sorry, but there is no other method than the magical one for fulfilling such desire. All the look, money and charm in the world will not get you any woman you want, any time you want to. It's really a hoot you know, when this question comes up and some person feels she has to play the 'loser' card.

So you're saying if I want someone, I can't just go and get them with mundane methods, like displaying confidence, interest, empathy and good humor, and asking one out on a date?
