Astral Projection

before I start, I would like to say that I am no Master or Teacher at Astral Projection. But I will be happy to answer Questions about it, and also dealings in the Astral plane.

To get started i recommend these. But by no means limit to these.

1:Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce

2:Journeys Out of the Body by Robert A. Monroe

3: Astral Projection A Record of Out-of-the-Body Experiences

Sometimes you will here people talk about not being able to get back in there body, this has happened too me but the only reason that it was happening is I was in too high of a form. I do no justice trying to explain it so read #1:Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce. If you are starting out, you do not need to worry About this happening to you. And even if it dose happen always remember you never fully leave your body. It is only that part of your body that cannot at that time inter a lower Plane at that time. Yes there are different levels of Astral Planes. In a way we are just another plane. You will come across things more real than anything on earth. If this is something you want to fully practice you must know you will be tried to the fullest. To hold on to your sanity, will become challenging at times, but it will make you stronger.

You also may have your core beliefs smashed to pieces you must look at things as a child seeing the world for the first time when you are on higher plains. lower plains not so much.
an important thing to learn is how to fight, create wards, and weapons and how to use elements/energy, to create these.
If you know elements/energy that you are good with start with those. You can even practice on the physical plane all you need to do is feel the energy in the palm of you hand i'm good with fire so if think and feel fire energy coming from the energy center there making it grow.

I have a few tricks I have learned, and the most useful is creating a door way, you can walk though it and be anywhere or in any time, and this way you can see what you headed into before you are truly there.

You own your life but I strongly recommend to not use astral projection for a peeping tom or hurting others in anyway i have heard lots of tails of nastys attaching themselves to your being if you do these things.

this post is far from done but it is start.
i might not answer some questions via post but i will PM you if it is a touchy topic not everything is for everybody to know, including myself.

But please feel free to ask anything!

Have you ever tried AP with the help of black mirror?

I didn't get out of body while spending time motionless before my mirror, even having tried several times, but it was a very useful exercise for me nonetheless when viewed alongside the others. Even though I haven't mastered AP it helped me to formulate the astral double if you can just switch perspectives mentally to that of believing the mirror image you see is actually your physical body that you are existing outside of. It's not a black mirror I'm referring to using though, so of course the result would be different otherwise. Glad to see another person is seemingly on the same page as me if you've tried.

Well i used this method:
First charged the mirror with astral light(without that you wont succed). After that I entered one astral hand into mirror then immediately took it out then again for about 3 times, after that I entered the entire arm being very carefull at the feeling then I entered the head and after that the entire body using same method...in /out,in out then the last time I just entered. To be honest I didn't stay long and don't know where I went for sure(I tried it only for about 3-4 times).Probably is a good method per se but needs to be improved and mastered better. If anyone has any idea I am here to listen.

Another method that I used...but is kind of draconic is to abstain from sleep as long as you can until your material body falls.Do not go to sleep when you just feel tired, also you can drink coffee or red bull or whatever...I stayed like this almost 4 days and I had the weirdest experience ever.

Well, it's part of the process for me as well. I get before the mirror and hold perfectly still, and then I become intensely aware of my physical form in sight, then feeling so I can hopefully shift away from conscious physical perception like I've done in other ways. Simply in making the double out of your image you've imbued the mirror-double with light, directly.

But yeah, to scan yourself deeply you need to make an astral copy. The trick is to shift your perception to being the double which is like an advanced version of the teleporting OBE which I have been a natural at; that one, and sleep deprivation, like you, sorta. But even still, this technique alludes me, personally. I've only had flashes with it.

In a teleporting OBE you imagine you're somewhere else already. I chose a physical spot elsewhere in the house I lived in at the time. As I approached the borders of sleep I was truly in those places and experienced the shocking snap back to my physical body each time.

Sleep deprivation OBEs, looking back, were the best... but you have to lookk at more than this. I was not hungry. But, I was thirsty at the time, each time. And each time, I was exhausted physically so as not to have a wandering mind, in retrospect. I would be too lazy to get a drink, fall to the edge of sleep, and roll out of my body to get one. I actually reached the fridge and passed my hand clean through the door several times before realizing what I'd done that way. Also, the weather was hot, too, in every successful case I've ever had, or I used a lot of blankets. Finding the common denominator helps to recreate your ideal method.

But yeah, after that would have to be negation, like holding perfectly still and imagining my body is just a shell... AND sleep-induced astral projections aside from true lucid dreams. There is an unexplainable feeling that comes with leaping out the crown chakra like sliding through an inner-tube, or coming through the heart chakra with a pop, forward and out. :)

My longest has been like two minutes at most, probably. It was a bitch to move around. I couldn't hear anything either despite banging on the wall and trying to yell.

Aside from finding your strengths and avoiding your weaknesses, there is sleep interruption too which I've yet to use. When I do, it will be with one headphone in only, if you wanted to try that. The idea is trance fractionation; that each time you enter and leave a trance state, the next one becomes progressively deeper, until you're not awake and not asleep but are out at some point. There is a torrent for lucidology 101/102 that has the timer and much more info I've found enough to want to buy his 103 series when it comes out.

My friend also while in Vegas had the same thing happen in similar circumstances while staring into a fountains water nearby a casino.

Something that comes close in a way, without the annoyance of losing sleep if you've got a busy schedule, is dream engineering... of sorts. :)

Try this if you will: get kava kava, or preferably 5-HTP. Take it right before bed, and if it's kava, take a larger dose. Larger doses of 5-HTP are no good as they'll make you nauseous. If you can get some THC into your system also somehow immediately before sleep, preferably in the form of a hash capsule, even without kava or 5-HTP, you may still have some insane lucid dreams a good deal of the time. There are also dream pillows to experiment with which can even be enchanted.

I'm no master of it, but I've gotten out for a few minutes a few times. My best luck so to speak has been sleep-induced projections, where I realize I am asleep, go halfway back into my body sorta, and then leap forward out of my heart chakra. But that is much harder to do; wake up from within sleep and only partially.

This brings up a point though: one has to find the methods they are good at. You use the methods I say, or Asancta, or Robert Monroe of The Monroe Institute even; great. It may work for you. It might not. Likewise, simply being confident might get Mick Jagger laid, but it might not get Steve Urkel laid. Capice? :) It's all about "right tool/wrong hands."

I also found by accident that I was good at teleportation style OBEs. That's where you lay down, trance out, and imagine already being somewhere probably in a physical location as that would be far easier than an astral one to segue into. As you approach sleep you will eventually enter hypnogogia and passing through it, will realize you are where you've been imagining yourself to me ... probably falling back into your body with a jolt to feel your heart racing furiously. I've done that one and gotten out for seconds at a time a whole bunch of times but I barely even count it because literally it's like, "boom" - you're out - "boom" - "you're right back", for me, then.

Also I've performed sleep deprivation induced OBEs before where I made myself too uncomfortable to really fall asleep or stay asleep if that. I would lay down to sleep, exhausted, and eventually as always I was too thirsty so I got up to get water since I was so dehydrated almost on instinct, and realized I was out of body. I kept getting farther and farther with this one summer. Again, usually I would only see myself detaching from my physical body and flip out, or I'd not notice and make it to the door (most times).

Lastly, I've also done wake induced OBEs where you just sit the hell still and try to make your body dissassociate and sleep while the mind stays awake and phases over into the astral body of light. This one has been hardest and most scarce. It also has been the noisiest. It sounded and felt like a freight train was rolling through the hostel I was staying at the whole time, and everything was pitch black, yet I could see with 360 degree touch sensation somehow I can't explain, by synesthesia.

You have to essentially find out what style works for you. You can try www.lucidology.com and he has a bunch of free videos that help, plus some new system coming out.

have you ever experimented with tattvas? these have been a remarkable tool for me in developing clairvoyance and exploring elemental planes.

Sadly, my first and most successful experiences with astral projection were in the deep nod of heroin. I used to just stand up out of my body, walk around and talk to inanimate objects. I had a fridge tell me it was feeling empty... The fridge was pretty damn empty too...

I haven't done much OoB work since getting clean from the arm-garbage. I do however create astral realms for enchantment and invocation purposes through deep meditative trance, which can be greatly intensified by cannabis.

Edit:
I should also point out that I have involuntary OoB's where I find myself in horrifically vivid melee combat with just about anybody I know, and it's the least pleasant thing, like. ever. I can feel it all, smell my own blood, my heart rate rises, my eyes dilate and it's just goddamn horrible and it won't stop. It's like a nightmare, I'm not aware that it's happening when it does until I snap out of it.
